Night at the Pink

Chris rode into town andwe hung out with the estrippers at the Pank. Then I witnessed Stickboy ask robin to the midi prom. Then to Jimmy Steakout and somehow the worker knew us as the estrip peeps so I gave him a flyer. Maybe we will see him here soon

First Mobile Phone Virus

Sorry if you already read this, I had accidentally deleted it and needed to repost. New mobile phone virus has been found in Moscow. It targets bluetooth capable phones with the symbian opertaing system. The virus hops from phone to phone via bluetooth, so there is no need ot make a call. In a thick New York City or Tokyo crowd, it could spread like wildfire.

Here are some images I made of it. My images are better than their's. At least I think so.

Lunch with Mr. Garcia and Vistor Arrives

All of my entries are starting to get out of order because of my email outage this week. The email is finally back up but during that time, I had sent so many moblogs from my phone and they are all arriving now. This lunch actually happend on monday.

(e:chris) and I went out for lunch the other day at Jimmy Macs on elmwood. I had a really nice cranberry Vodka and a turkey burger. Mixed with the blue water on the table, the picture looks like some sort of overly nationalistic, american themed picnic.

Tommorrow, I will be going to Nonna's to do some gardening and then hanging out with Chris Albon for the afternoon as he is back in town for a visit.

Seafood Salad and Neighborhood Changes

We stopped at
what I consider to be the "new" tops of deleware and sheridan. It been
a while since I've been in the old neighborhood. Get this, Feel Rite is
gone. Hodown and I spent a long time working for them in the early to
mid 90s, I feel old now. See the pic, now there is just a Charter One
in its place. I think that was the only Health Food store where I've
bought acid. Crazy early 90s.

I also snagged a pic of my elementary school. While driving by I
realized I spent my entire life living only as far as one block from
elmwood. Lets just say it was the first "big street" I crossed as a
kid.

Cheapest Fucking Expensiveness

I went to see the outdoor movie downtown at Bacchus on Chippewa (Note: NOT MY NEIGHBORHOOD). Matthew, Rachel and I each got near 10 dollar glasses of wine. Mine was the Soave Classico Superiore at 9 dollars/glass in a super classy place. Here is the catch it comes in a plastic cup and its raining out. Also, the bar tender took ten minutes getting our change and then told us he didn't have enough, so come back later.

Junk Shopping

I had to go to compusa to buy the Unreal
Tournament 2004 DVD set with developer tools. It was on sale and
includes a DVD tutorial. Hopefully, my students can get some of their
cemetary models into the game
engine.

On the way their my mother and I stopped at Michael's. They had a major
clearance sale on junk. Here is a

Twin's Birthday

We started out with some games of bocce? For those of you that don't know, it's a lawn bowling game played by Italians. Here are the rules.

image

What else could you play at an Italian birthday celebration.

Here is a picture of my dad and my uncle. They are identical.

Louie the Dog

This is the closest I have been to a dog in about 5 years. It was freaky, thank you loratadine.

image

As an update to this I am now thoroughly sick and wait another five years before I get that close to a dog again.

Same Party - I am actually having fun riding a tricycle build for a two year old. It's amazing that I fit this seeing as I am 6'1 but it works fine.

The four journal entries below

The four entries below were actually from Saturday. Unfortunately, my email was down that whole time, due to a server upgrade at our web hosting facility, so they didn't post until today.

Actually, the web hosting service we use sucks. They used to be really good, and then they just started going seriously downhill. I would like to move the site to another location but I am having so many issues with the move.

1. Host it myself - the best solution. Seeing as I own a really nice server, I would like to use it. The problem is the connection is to damn expensive for me. Sounds like I really need to write for a grant.

2. Move it somewhere local - I could move it somewhere local but I have a lot of issues with maintaining the anonymity of keeping it far away. I like the fact that some tech dork out west does not care about our community at all. I cannot guarantee that someone local wouldn't. I mean what if some local person had a vendetta against us then fucked the site up. It's too much trust for people I do not know. Why would someone far, far away at a giant tech headquarters want to know who was writing this or that journal entry? It's simply not an issue. Someone here in town, might have more curiosity and that's what worries me.

I also like the anonymity of calling joe techie when there is a problem and getting mad at him a lot more then being pissed off at some local person with a face, when something goes wrong.

I need to make a decision soon, or hope that now that our hosting service upgraded that everything will be great again.

Dad's Gift

After examing the ton's of arty stuff that my father for sure would never want I ended up getting him a gift certificate to Gabriel's Gate, my favorite restaurant in Allentown

image

Well, seeing entry this came to my journal 3 days late, now I have more to say about it. Turns out my father deosn't like Gabriel's Gate, my mother told me. So Terry, matthew, and I went there yesterday with the gift certificate. You should try that sometime, it's pretty fun because you feel special that you have a gift certificate even though you bought it.
